These are claps recorded by three people at the same time. The kind of soft but very fast clapping that you would put in a spanish flamenco song or (as it was the case for the session) an argentine folklore song (chacarera). Soft clap — very tight, soft hitshard clap — tight, hard hit. Soft group — a little less tight, sounds like many people, still softhard group — less tight, many people, hard hit. Soft supergroup — i put three takes of this at the same time (one l, one center, one r), some hits sounded better than others so i picked the ones that sounded the best. Soft hits. Recorded 5/20/11 at 10:43am on a bright sunny day in washington. Many crows were flying overhead and i recorded them on my ipod. The sounds in the background is not wind (although it sounds like it), but are cars slowly driving by about 100 yards away. The crows were directly above.

This is a recording of a vitamin c tablet dissolving in a cup of water. Recorded with an edirol r-o9 and a nice hydrophone. By lifting the hydrophone in and out of the water some very nice filtering effects where created. This sound has many applications for sound design!.

Made with a butt ton of reverberation decay, modifications to high dampening and the layering of many swishing knifes together to create a suspenseful sound effect. The application of this sound could be used for the penultimate release of something utter horrifying to be revealed on screen, chase scenes or simply an underscore/tension builder for the now victims of a monstrosity coming at them for a bit of a nibble.

I recorded this for a project i was doing, and because i used so many samples from this site on the project, i figured i'd give some back too. This is the sound of my dorm room at nyu, recorded in an xy configuration with two condenser microphones.

Made on a site called beepbox where you can make 8-bit sounds and export as wav. I make 8-bit games and thought i would contribute back to this site which has helped me in so many situations over the years.
